Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak has taken reponsibility for allowing Sporting Lisbon to take the lead at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.
The Red Devils came back to pick up a last gasp win, but the Polish international has been quick to take responsibility for his part in the team's going behind.
"I'm happy we won the game, that was the most important thing and it helps me feel better after my mistake," Tomasz told MUTV.
"I ran to Ronaldo after the game. I was happy for him and especially for me because we won.
"It was my first mistake at Manchester United and I hope it's the last one. Sometimes things happen which you don't expect but that's football.
On the Champions League campaign, he said: "We have won all five games and I have played in about three and a half.
"It's a great experience for me.
"It was an interesting game tonight because after losing the first half, we had to push ourselves to win the game."
